Spoke with Missy at Antique Engine Rebuilding in Bluffton Indiana on Thursday morning and have a set of rod bolts at my door Friday, in a blizzard no less. Great people to deal with and excellent service. Good company worth supporting.
Might be a long shot but I am trying to come up with a part number for the AER inserted rod bolts. Looks like an ARP bolt but haven’t been able to match it up. Rods are about 12 years old back when Rich was in Skokie. Can’t seem to get a hold of the new guys in Indiana. Just thought I would...
Had a short block built by AER many years ago when he was in Chicago. I have changed the front rope seal 8 times two different oil pans, two different pulleys now just put a modern seal in and it leaks too. Curious what people have seen for runout on the front of crank or pulley surface. At...
Wow, lots of great info. I really appreciate everyone’s time and input. Sounds like 35lb is what I’m looking for.
Thank you everyone, hope you all have a great upcoming Christmas and New Year.

I have Antique Engine Rebuilding inserted connecting rods and was curious if anyone has experience with those as far as knowing the torque for the rod cap bolts. They use a special bolt that looks like some type of specialized ARP bolt. Rich has sold the company to group in Indiana and I was...

Have a new oil pan gasket set and it comes with two different seals for the rear main cap. One has to be squeezed in to work the other will fit but not as tight. Which should be used. I noticed the one I took off was the bigger one and the rear of the pan had cut into it pretty deep, thinking...
