    Ford Shock i.d. help

Thanks, yes I'm in Canada, I was wondering if that might have been a a "Canada only" part number, ok I'm just curious, just teases me with a legible part number that I can't search lol. Yes I found a comprehensive Monroe shock chart & found a suitable replacement, except the lower bushing is 5/8...

    Ford Shock i.d. help

I have a Ford Shock, part # appears to be AJ-18077-E, it's on a hot rod so. Trying to figure out what to order for replacement, can anyone make sense of this part # ? Also the car was built in the early 1960's so safe to assume it's a pre 1964 part. Thanks in advance.

    Crank Pully Nut - b6319a

Yes a friend had exactly what I needed on an old motor laying in the bush at his father in laws, it pulled off like it was just installed even though it was upside down & exposed to the elements for many, many years- got the pully, woodruff key, washer & bolt. Installed with no issues & back in...

    Crank Pully Nut - b6319a

Ok Just a follow up post to clear up some confusion for people who might search this post out for information in the future. Thanks to VanPelts site for this info. 49-53 "8BA" should be a 7/8" bolt & washer...

    "8BA" Crank Pulley Car/Truck Inquiry

I had this post earlier: https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1899791#post1899791 I have since discovered that the incorrect crank pulley nut was used (basically it would almost pass thru the bore of the pulley !) Currently I don't have a spare truck pulley but I do have a 52 Merc...

    Crank Pully Nut - b6319a

Ahh so most were 1 3/8, but some might have been 1 1/8 ! That is helpful, yes & that would make sense as the ears do seem a bit spread out - I don't have any reason to remove right now, also access is miserable, but next time the motor or rad is out I will get in there to do a deeper inspection...

    Crank Pully Nut - b6319a

An update... 1 3/8" & then 1 1/4" too big, 1 3/16 is a bit sloppy but not enough that it slips, 1 1/8 to small. So I did get it to tighten up a bit with the 1 3/16, now my question is - where is this crank pully nut from ? Or is it just really, really well used ?

    Crank Pully Nut - b6319a

Ahh just realized I will need a deep socket 1 3/8, the 1 1/4 I tried cleared the cogs, not the nut - duh ! My bad, thanks for confirmation, clearance to radiator is tight, so I'm going at this blind. Thanks again.
