I managed to repair it. It turns out the relay I bought was defective. When I changed it the problem ceased. I guess not all brand new parts are good. Thanks anyway.

I am new and not sure if this site even handles 1968 Galaxie owners. Here is a question however: Does anyone know which colored wire goes on which post of the starter relay on the passenger side inner fender? The starter turns while the key is off. I have already tried two relays and two...
