Thanks everyone for the information, concerning cleaning them out with some type of cleaner I didn't think about ruining the seals so thanks for reminding me not to do that. Also thanks for the different oil suggestions I'll just fill them up and see what happens I have nothing to loose...
I just bought a A chassis and it's in pretty good condition it has been sitting for about 10 years. It has original style shocks I'm sure they have been rebuilt at sometime. Checking them the arms will move up and down freely with full range with a little bit of resistance about the same each...
I have bought a few fenders and trying to match up a decent set I have several that I have bought. I noticed 1 of the fenders has a ridge all the way around the front it has the 30's style nose piece on the apron. I done a little research and I found out about a "eyebrow" fender not sure if...
Thanks for that information Hitman only picture I have got until tomorrow it was the only picture among others for modal a parts for sale. I pretty sure it's for a Model A as this is from a grandfather's collection and he had 4 model A's and parts. But thank you for that information. Robert
Thanks again Keith for more information I have bought the bed just hadn't picked it up yet. The fellow I got it from was art of his grandfather's collection has been in a garage for years. He also has the tailgate. He has 2 engines and transmissions said one had been rebuilt years ago had...
Thanks Keith that's what I thought it was a wide bed and the red tailgate would not fit. I do wood working and was going to build a bed out of wood as I did on a huckster. If you look close the red tailgate is made out of wood. I just happened to run across the wide bed and I haven't picked it...
Hey everyone I have bought a bed for my truck. I'm working on a 1930 roadster pickup. I have had a tailgate that I picked up in parts I've bought over time and it is completely different? As I have researched there is 2 styles of beds? Is this bed a wide bed as it has a different style of...
Thanks for all the great suggestions concerning the dying of the seats. The interior has been done really good, I was thinking about another color for the car but saw this color on a coupe and a tudor what do you all think would the seats kinda match? I know it's my car I can go any color I want...
I was wondering if anybody had dyed seat before and what product was used and how did it do. I just bought my 5th model A (yes the wife is probably going to kill me!)the interior had already been done I just don't like the color. I bought the car a 31 tudor sedan at a good price and it's a good...
Just took the back wheels off drums are also original Ford cast iron drums also. So I'm assuming these are original equipment from Ford in late 31 production. So I'm good to go if the hubs are still in tolerance to run safely.? Thanks everyone. Robert
Yes brakes are still all stock mechanical model a brakes. Just not familiar with them I've never seen any before. I guess alright to use with stock wheels. I put a 19" rim on seems to be alright. Just don't know.
Just bought a 31 tudor sedan it has V8 style wheels that I don't care for but to my surprise a odd brake drum I'm not familiar with what are they? Can I still run regular 19" 31 wheels? Really confused. Robert
