Thanks for the picture. Looks like I may have put the cross member in backwards. It looks, from your picture, that the lip should be in the back and the the flat side is forward where the metal angle iron piece goes. I'll see if I can turn it around without too much trouble.
I'm putting together a '24 tudor from a pile of sheet metal and a wood kit from Fordwood. Excellent wood kit for the most part but under the front seat there isn't a lip to hold the fhe floorboard. Do I need to router a lip into the surrounding frame or is there something else? Also, don't...
Someone responded with an email about where I could get early parts. I thought I'd saved the info but now I can't find it. I have only 3 of the 5 1/2" hub flanges and I need 5 more (before I send the wheels off to get rebuilt). Any info would be helpful. Thanks.
Thanks for the info. I have included close up pictures of the numbers and engines. One is clearly 3480 and not sure about the 2nd one. It is either #684 or 16841. The markings (numbers?) in front and behind the 684 are a different font and look like they may have been from a device that held...
I just purchased a pile of parts that is supposed to be 2 1909 Model Ts but I can't find the engine serial numbers. They are not above the water inlet on the side of the engine like the later cars are. They don't even have the pad above the inlet where the numbers normally are. They are...
I'm having a very difficult time nailing the sheet metal onto new wood. I'm using 3d 1 1/8" nails and am bending 6 or 7 nails for every one I am able to get in straight. Is there a better nail?
It looks like it could be the piece you show at the bottom of the window (that is attached on the back side). Looks promising. Will see if it fits like that. Thanks.

I bought a wood kit from Fordwood and can't figure out where a couple of pieces of wood go. The numbers indicate that they go to the rear side windows but where? Does anybody have a picture of these pieces installed on their wood frame? Also, I would like to get anybody's email address that...
Outstanding. Going through a box of misc. parts I was able to find a piece that looks like that. But only one of them. It shouldn't be too difficult to make another one if I can't find a second. Thanks.

I am missing the rear body brackets (that bolt to the frame) for a 1924 Tudor sedan. I have been told that they are different than any of the other rear body brackets. Would anybody have a picture of one (so I can see what I am looking for), or better yet, would anybody have a pair they would...
Could it be some means of tightening the center main without removing the cap? I see lots of funky accessory stuff for Model Ts but haven't seen it on Model As. Have you removed the center main and seen if the babbitt is tight in the cap?

Unfortunately, The car is in Washington State and I am in MIssissippi. My brother recently acquired the car (from another brother) and I am trying to help him out. I will be up there in a couple of weeks and wanted to have the right parts in place. He says there is a hole in only one bumper...
My 1929 Murray bodied fordoor has new wood, rear bumper brackets from a ? and no bumper brackets-to-body stands. A previous post thought they had 3" bumper bracket-to-body stands but I couldn't find anywhere the distance of the brackets to the frame (I have to drill the holes). Can anyone give...
OK, this is a little aside but how does the "EZ steer" work with a 28-29 steering housing. The web site just says you have to "use the adaptor". Anybody have a picture of the EZ Steer box on a 28-29?
