1948 starts the shuts down. Has gas and points have voltage but doesn’t seem to go through to other half.

Can I use 1948-53 intake on 1937-42 block?

I’ve heard that cracks between exhaust valve and cylinders can be repaired. Will these repairs last or should I look for a good block. Thanks

I have an opportunity to get a motor for $200. It is stuck. The carb is off and water ports on heads are open and no dip stick. It’s in a junk yard with the hood covering it. It has Mercury heads and a Ford intake. Can’t say for sure that it is a Merc motor. What’s the chance the block will...

I took the axles to a local machine shop yesterday. They told me essentially the same thing, space out the seal to area on axle without wear. Thank you all for responses and suggestions. Dan

The axles have 18 tooth gears and are approximately 32 1/2 inches each.
