Thanks for the response! there is a spot about the size of a quarter, and the only thing i can see for sure in that spot is a 9 it's also those letters and numbers to the right of that circle they are X12 they are stamped in and aprox 3/4 inches tall Thanks

Hello! HELP trying to figure out what year my flat head is in my 1938 coupe' on the bell housing up toward the block there is a circle, and all I can read in it is a 9 to the right of the circle and aprox 1 inch to the right of circle are three large stamped letters X12 larger than 1/2...
