    Fan, Water Pump, ETC Needed!

Looking for some parts for my doodlebugs. Looking for 2 fans, a waterpump (doesn't matter if it leaks some), a starter and a hand crank. Nothing needs to be perfect by any means, just functional. Only use these a few times a year. Thanks!

    Doodlebug transmission linkage

The dual high is a good idea! I'll keep my eyes out for one. I have another partial doodlebug on its way, so if I don't use it for this one, I'll use it on the next. Axle is welded to the frame on this one. Looks like what I'll need is a 6 spline to 10 spline u joint/adapter. If such a thing...

    Doodlebug transmission linkage

Thanks guys for the quick replies! Tom, it does have an AA rear in it. What does this rear have coming off the pinion? Internal or external spline? u joint? I'll see what i can do about switching the 4 and 3 speed, but space is very limited in the rear. Thanks again!

    Doodlebug transmission linkage

Hi, Wondering what people have done in the past for linking 2 transmissions together. I will be putting an A trans behind a AA trans. I know the input shaft has an 1 3/8 10 spline, and the output of the AA trans has that gear on 6 splines. Fairly new to Model A's and just looking for thoughts...

    On dodlebugs

I think they are great! It's interesting and sometimes entertaining seeing what people did in the past to make these machines work. If anybody knows of anything for sale in the ct/western mass area please let me know!

Here's mine...31 AA, single 4 speed. Built a snow plow for it and use it to pull wagons in the summer.

    Model AA trans problems

Just to update you all, Everything is back together and working great. My guess is the problem started with the shifter, it basically completed fell apart when I removed the tower. Probably got caught in 2 gears at once. So I pieced together one good shifter assembly using parts from Don's...

    Model AA trans problems

Hey guys, Just figured I'd give you a quick update here. Pulled everything apart this afternoon and found the front main shaft bearing to be no good AND the roller bearing fell apart in my hands. Luckily Don (spdway1) helped me out big time and got me another transmission. Already have the...

    Model AA trans problems

Hi guys, I haven't had a chance to get into it yet unfortunately...been under the weather! Perhaps tomorrow I'll it inside and tear it down. Hey Red, do you know anything about a Model A swap meet tomorrow in Enfield, CT?! Thought I read about it somewhere, any idea what time it is? Thanks...

    Model AA trans problems

Hello again, I had a few minutes so I pulled the cover off. I found gear oil with some water in it but no obvious broken parts that I can tell. Going to bring it in this week and drain whats left of the oil and have a closer look. Figured I post my findings in the meantime. One other...

    Model AA trans problems

All, Thanks for the replies!! I've seen the ice in tractors as well, but this is stored inside and it was a warm day. Unfortunately I haven't had time to look at it yet but might remove the top tomorrow and see what I find. It doesn't sound like a 3 speed swap is the answer, I need that low...

    Model AA trans problems

Hello all, I am fairly new to model a's but intrigued by them non the less! I have 1931 AA doodlebug. Used it all summer long no problems, parked it last week in the barn. Went out yesterday to move it and the transmission is making a loud clunk clunk clunk, almost like something is stuck in a...
