    Front Drive For A/B Engine

Aftermarket bronze assembly that replaces both timing covers. Has old pump for driving off camshaft, but I think was intended as mag drive using another crankshaft timing gear. Don't know what the smaller gear is for. Weighs 21 lbs, figure $35 shipping lower 48. Will not ship out of USA or...

    Speedster Progress

Isn't very hard and this forum has generous size limitations unlike some others. If they are on your computer you can easily put them here as "thumbnails" people can click on to make bigger. Only requirement is they not be larger than about 550Kb (I think that is 600 X 800) and you not try to...

    What is the HAMB site

Learn what you can, when you can and pass that on. 56 years ago this was bought running and titled as a stocker for $35. We will not see those days again. The grown men that helped this teenager are long gone, or just very old. Thanks to such as G.W. Green, Miller Morriss and Laddie Segrest...

The taper threaded screws (and their special tap) sold I think by lock and stitch will sure work if the area is accessible for drilling and tapping. Had a '57 392 Chrysler fixed this way outside near the center "freeze" plug. There is also Nickel 55 stick rod repairs. Here is an old lathe...

    head stud dimensions

I see under manage attachments we can attach pdfs up to 9.54 Mb - which is a good size drawing file. Freeware such as Draft Sight deals with Autocad style dwg files and these can be plotted to pdf with such handy little programs as Cute pdf. Attached such, though "OT" John Oder

    Model A engine

The walls are nominally .250" thick at standard bore looking at the block drawing. I.E., the foundry cores were made to create an outside diameter of 4 3/8". As mentioned above, the siamesed wall is shared by two cylinders and is only 3/8" thick with stock bore. (4.250 - 3.875 = .375") John Oder

The crank is offset .125" from the cylinder center lines. It is closer to the valves by this amount. John Oder
