8-lug 16" OEM wheels and disc brakes?

The back of wheel does not clear the caliper by less than an inch which does not allow the wheel to slip on to the lugs. Are you thinking a spacer on the hub might work? I appreciate any help you can offer Paul...thanks Chuckster

8-lug 16" OEM wheels and disc brakes?

The flange on the back side of the wheel will not clear the caliper by about 3/4 inch or an inch, so the wheel won't slide on to the lugs...you thinking what I've been thinking...put a spacer on the hub? I'd have to get under there and do some measuring and then try to find a pair the correct...

8-lug 16" OEM wheels and disc brakes?

Does anyone know if there exists an 8-lug 16" steel wheel that will fit over the caliper of front disc brakes on a 65 F-250? I'm not sure where the disc brakes are from, but the original steel wheels will not fit on them. Stock 16-inchers fit the rear drums just fine. I also don't know what year...

Help! Can't get my '54 239 to run right!?

johnsunliner- The timing is right on the mark, so I don't think it slipped a tooth unless it could do that and still appear correct with the timing light. Is that possible? I'm thinking its carburetor and am going to work on that some more... I like your yellow Sunliner...mine is...

Help! Can't get my '54 239 to run right!?

scicala- Interesting...I have thought the carburetor is the trouble all along. I'm going to pull it off again and check it again...any other suggestions what to look for in the carb? It's the original Holley 2-barrel, by the way.

Help! Can't get my '54 239 to run right!?

George/Maine, I'm thinking the problem could be the distributor itself...I will pull it out and check it... Do you have any suggestions regarding how to tell what might be wrong/worn out, etc...?

Help! Can't get my '54 239 to run right!?

jeffB2- I'll try to replace the power valve, but it was replaced with the one that came with the kit when I rebuilt the carb. Could be it's not the real Holley part you mention. I'll check it out again, but at this point, I am not sure the problem is in the carb/fuel system...

Help! Can't get my '54 239 to run right!?

Justold- Timing is right on at 8 degrees advanced. Fuel delivery is fine, engine turns normally, starts right up and runs terribly, won't idle, popping and sputtering with lots of rich smoke out the exhausts. Ran it with the valve covers off and checked the rockers and all valves are...
