vibration, a clunking noise when using reverse, sometimes it only vibrates when you let off on the gas. If it breaks at road speed be sure you are wearing good sneakers and know someone with a trailer.

Now is the time to grease all those hard to get to fittings. I just finished replacing the driveshaft u-joint in my 47, what a job!! I know its one of those fittings we tend to forget but a tube of JD cornhead grease and a minute or two is much easer than than what I just went through. Not fun.

Fuel pumps, mechanical or electric, only pump liquids. The new gas has methanal witch boils easier than the old gas, as low as 95 degrees. Check the tail pipe, and muffler area to see how close to the gas line they are. New cars with fuel injection return hot fuel to the gas tank to be cooled...

We all have the same problem with this "new" fuel... it boils at a lower temperature and floods the warm engine. A heat block plate, goes under carb, will help some. Longer carb studs are needed. Cold starts can be helped with an electric fuel pump and a spring loaded switch so it doesn't run...

you can check for high resistance in those old cables by feeling them after trying to start,if the cables are good and the starter is grounded good she'll crank hot or cold with a good six volt battery.

Re: I’m sure it’s been asked but I need help with removing valves I have taken a piece of pipe cut to just fit under the valve with the spring compressed, valve all the way open. You will have to saw it length wise so it can go around the stem, tap the head of the valve with a 5 lbs, it should...

Firewall is a sectioned 32, with the legs trimmed, oil filter is remote mount acts as a cooler. I have both stock and hot rods, like em all.

8 BA in 31 A, generator, fan, and pullies in stock placement.

Re: Trying to fix the One Way Trip, ‘34 Ford Digger, Next time it happens have a jumper wire with two alligator clips ready and run them on the resistor under the dash on the drivers side. By passing the resistor, try to start it, after it starts take them off. Let me know how this works, Chuck.

Peter, the latest Optima batterys are made in mexico and don't hold up as good as the originals. Be sure to check it out, maybe they're doing you a favor.
