    No condenser??

Thanks Dave! Yep, we checked that. Seems the flow to that point may not be as strong as its supposed to be. So now I am tracing my line back to see if there is a restriction someplace, starting with the sediment bowl and then back to the tank. One way or another I hope to have it on the road...

    No condenser??

Okay, can definitely try without the gas cap on, that's an easy one! Would be great if it turns out to be something that easy!! Here's hoping!! Thanks again! Chris

    No condenser??

Thanks for the info! The fuel filter/strainer I am using is the one that attaches to the end of the fuel line and is up inside the gas tank. I may shine a flashlight down into the tank and see if there is a lot of crud stranded on the strainer preventing proper flow. I may also shoot some...

    Dual spare mounts??

Will have to check the assemblies underneath to see if they are both the same or not. I believe they are, as I did not notice any differences when I looked for the bolts/rivets... Thanks again for the info, it is all greatly appreciated!! Chris

    No condenser??

All very good info. So far, Found the condenser, under the distributor cap. Still not sure how I missed that when I cleaned the points but then again, eyes don't work like they used to. I too think it may be fuel related, as the gas tank had a lot of sediment in it when I bought the car...

    Dual spare mounts??

Looks like they are both bolted on. Then again, that could have been done when it was restored. Either way, it looks cool, so we are gonna keep it that way. Both fenders are welled? so would look wierd without the wheels there anyway.... ;o) Thanks again for all the info, it is...

    No condenser??

All very good info! I dissconnected at the carb and it flowed okay, not a huge rush of fuel, but continuous. Did not know about the filter in the carb. Will have to check that next. Also the other suggestions you mention. Very helpful!! Thanks and I'll get right on it! Chris

    Dual spare mounts??

Thanks for the reply! I really have no idea if they are original to the car. Probably no way to tell for sure is there? Neat looking though, I think I'll keep em that way. Right now it has 32 Ford wheels and tires on it so its not so hard to open the doors. Will have to see when I get the...

    Dual spare mounts??

HI folks, The 29 coupe I just bought has dual spare tire mounts on the fenders. Is this rare as so far I have not seen another one like it. Of course, that isn't saying much as I haven't really looked too far other than the local car shows.... Thanks again for any and all info, it is...

    No condenser??

Thanks for the input folks. As it runs for 30 seconds to a minute each time, there must be a condenser there someplace. I'll mosey out to the garage and see if its attached to the top plate under the cap. Think I would have noticed that when I cleaned the points, but may just have slipped my...

    No condenser??

HI folks, New to the forum, recently bought a 1929 2 door coupe from a widow and have been trying to get it to run. So far, have done the usual things, drained the gas, cleaned the points, etc. It will now start and run, but only for about 30 seconds or so. Thinking may be rust in the tank...
