Can a person buy a battery charger like we used to have back in the fifties and sixties? The modern chargers all have electronic circuits. You can hook the charger up, come back in a little while, and the charger has turned off for some reason. I like the old chargers.

Mike's is great. Just got 2 outside mirrors for the door hinges. Installed with no problem.

I was going to hook my charger up today. I hooked the negative wire from the charger to the post on the starter. It sparked and blew the fuse. The charger was not turned on or plugged up.

Got it loose with a block of wood and hammer. Bendix was messed up. Thanks for the help.

That's what i thought the problem was and is why I have tried to remove the starter. Haven't had any luck yet. May have to remove the transmission.
