we had two tracks in the dallas -ft worth area. one at state fair grounds,ran on friday nites as i remember.i was part of the pit crew.our car was 37 ford coupe with flathead. ole #16. the other track was"devils bowl" for modified what ever and they ran on saturday nites. most of the friday nite...

the 40 is different fron the 34-39. drakes summer catalog had a picture of both. also drake 34-39 does not show knobs however i have knobs on my original and the sales book i have shows knobs.. on the early model the glass slide in a double channel felt from the outside in. the late model...

sliding rear windows were available as an option 1934-1939 . the 1940 up were different but were sliding rear window. i have factory pictures of the early one i also have an original in my 1937 pick-up. bob drake has them as a reproduction in his catalog.

35-36 front fenders are different from 37. also 37 cab has 2-piece windshield 35-36 have one piece flat windshield.there are other difference also good luck..

bought my 37 1/2 ton flatbed in 1960 .body off restoration twice 1970 and 1999 should last now untill i am to old to drive.will be 75 in oct 2010. driven to many national v-8 meets.been a member since 1966. good luck with your project. pictures when available would be nice.
