The rear portion of the belt rail is bolted to the reinforcement bar and then you pull the assembly tight to the rear sheet metal. The reinforcement bar will come very close to touching the rear sheet metal. The left pic show the new belt rail pieces in place. The center pic is my original...
It was 10 years ago when I put in the belt rail so my memory isn't so good, but I think it was 5/16 X 1-1/4. I have a lot more pics of both the old wood and the new one if you need them.

I bougth one several years ago from Brad’s Woodshop, Friday Harbor, WA (360)-378-3886 Wood Kits for Early V8 Fords. Top quality. The cabriolet and convertible sedan headers are the same. There is a seal that goes on the bottom of the header to the windshield. PM me your e-mail and i will see...
Just got back from Douglas GA last night. Looked at most of the websites before I left and selected several dealers I wanted to talk to. Shop around as I found $500 - $900 difference for same configuration. Quality varies so look around and don't be afraid to walk if you don't like what you...
We will be loading up tomorrow and heading out early Sunday morning. One stop in Kentucky and then on to Dearborn on Monday. Looking forward to seeing you all again.

I have a tractor supply 6V in my non-Ford truck and have abused it dearly for the last three or four years. I'll go get another one when this one quits. I use it now for show, other wise there is usually an Optima in it and my 35 Conv Sedan and Model T.
Finally home. First Chantilly and then out to Kansas City for AACA Grand National by way of Dayton, Indy, St. Louis, then back through Nashville to NC. After the Udvar-Hazy in Washington and then the Air Force museum in Dayton, I think I have seen enough airplanes for a while. Chantilly was...
The 35 is in the trailer after a quick coil change this morning. Pulled it out of the shop to put it in the trailer and stopped dead. No spark, changed coils and now it's gook to go off to Chantilly on Wednesday. Looking forward to seeing you all again.
That trim is not original to your car. It was only used on the convertible sedan and the 4-Door deluxe touring models. That's why it doesn't quite fit right. I see a lot of people add it to their cars because it looks really good, but it's not correct except as noted.
I used to buy Craftsman. My box is full of Sears tools. You could get what you wanted and the sales were pretty good. Then they started selling what I call gimmick tools. I guess they have their uses but I want good basic tools that get the job done. Looking through my local Sears store the...
I've got www on my 35 cause the picture of Amelia Earhart at the Indy 500 shows her in a Conv. Sedan with www. I figured that must be what Ford wanted so thats the way I went. I think they go well with the deluxe package, not so much on a standard IMHO
