Anyone have new seats that could measure how far it is from the top of the valve to the deck? I'm concerned my valves are to deep and have already had my block at the machine shop for over a year to put in new seats. When I got it back all he did was cut the stems.

Just picked up a set of Navarro 8Ba heads that are from the 50s 60s and are in pretty good shape. The water passages have some corrosion, but the gasket surface is a little pitted around a couple passages. Any trips, tricks, things to look for in fixing these up?
