    The forgotten 1960 Fords

The 1961 401 starliner is one of the nicest ford's ever built. It could do low 13"s in the quarter mile if tuned right . I had many in my friends ,it was a great car. I went with him to the dealer the day he ordered it. The performance package came in the trunk and was installed by the dealer.

50 years ago I had an Essex with pinholes in the oil pan .I took it to a radiator shop and they put a layer of lead in bottom. It still holds oil.

Who wouldn't love to go to a place like this?

In the 1950 's I was in this yard. All the cars are black because any old black paint he could find was used to preserve and protect them. All the grass was neatly cut like a lawn ,even trimmed around the wheels and between cars .This was because he kept goats on the property.

    Found it in an attic....

In the 1950's u s royal made tires with all the rubber from the whitewall to the tread in colors. I think it came in blue, green and brown. I remember cleaning them when working in a car wash. If anyone has one it sure would be nice to see a picture of one. (16 th street car wash)
