Gas news. Problem I dont know.

The EPA is a self serving government agency whose only interest is to keep themselves in the business of interfering with the industrial progress of the USA. The EPA is a bureacracy full of self appointed intolerant radicals who feel it is their mission to save the world from ourselves. Elect...

    17.5 x 8.5 inner tubes

Ok...so I have replaced my widow maker rims with 17.5" rims. Coker tire tells me I can use these inner tubes with their 17.5 x 8.5 Bias ply but they have offset valves. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/cok-86260 Does anyone else know of any other sources for a 17.5 inner tube?

    Leaners...You guys hate leaners...?

Why because they are thoughtless, meaning it never occurs to them, and it is likely, no big deal to them..Perhaps a small sign is in order for you.: Only Bikini Babes w/ no buckles or rings, can lean here. :) For me: After reading this thread, I believe I will go out and buy about 6 or 8...

    No compression

I am with those who are siding on the valve problem. I would recommend an entire valve job since you are going to have to remove the heads to "clean" them anyway. If I recall, since it has been a long time since I lifted valves out of my V-8, you will likely have to remove the manifolds, as...

Start engine after 20 years sitting

Great video Reminds me of when I was a kid starting countless engines by dumping gas down the carb throat. There are better ways today but that method was tried and true in the 60's for me! Thanks for the memory Henry...:) I recently started up my 51 F-3 after a Rip Van Winkle of about 8...

    Lose valae spring retainer

I like the dental mirror thing I have one myself.. Using a valve lifter, he might as well lift the entire suspicious valve and valve spring out. What else could this be.. Foreign matter just doesn't show up after one removes the manifold. It's not the worst task in the world. Perhaps it's a...

    53 P/U info/advice please...

I am not up on the 53 models but if it is a Nothern truck, you must know the frame and the floor pans and anything else that is subject to rust, is likely corroded. The Northern roads are punishing during the Winter and they were laden with salt during the 50's - 80's They are a bit more...
