I purchased a 4 post BendPak lift a little over a year ago. Great to drive the car up on and get to the grease fittings and any other job that requires you to lay on the floor. Hope you got the drip trays. I use mine also to double the size of my garage. One call always is on the lift and...
Doesn't help when your coupe is black. Just adds to the above about the Model T, "You can get it in any color as long as it is black".
Feel like I need a license plate that says "Not A T!"
Within the past week I bought new hoses with the red stripe from Bratton's (Part # 12060) - I had to replace my upper hose since it was worn out and starting to leak near the upper water outlet. Mine were snug, to the point where I had to spin it on the upper water outlet just to be sure I did...
Atlasboy - I had to make a jig out of a 1 x 4 where the opening was wide enough to go over the door handle but still touch the Escutcheon. It had to be deep enough to be able to push the Escutcheon down but not bottom out on the door handle. I am at work now but when I get home this evening, I...
I just installed my late 30 tank in my coupe last weekend. Used some clear RTV to hold the anti-squeek welt to the cowl and firewall. That way it does not move when installing the tank. I too cut slits (about 1 inch apart) where the curve begins on the tank at the cowl. Used some strips of...
I was able to speak with Linda Layman about the tour. Look for upcoming information in MARC about the tour after the Branson information has run.
Here is tenative info on the tours. Got married in Elkins, WV and grew up in WV so very familiar with the location. Be ready for narrow roads...
Keith - not sure what you are suggesting as there is no bolt that holds the upper steering bushing in place on my column. This bushing is located right under the steering wheel. I've attached a picture of the bushing in question.
I am having trouble installing a new 2 tooth upper steering bushing on my late 30 Coupe. The steering column has the "V" shaped lug for the bushing to lock in place. The repo steering bushing only has a dowel pin to hold it in place.
I am struggling with the fit of the bushing. It appears...
I am wanting to check to ensure that my front axle is straight. I have watched the Diablo A's rebuilding DVD and in it they discuss maching rods to place in the spindle and radius arm mounts on the axle. I don't have a lath or other device to machine these rods - are there any other...
Check out the intake and exhaust manifolds the Steve over at Beth's offers. Parts A-9449 and A-9430. They specifically state they are IS A made and machined to match perfectly. Bought a set this spring for my rebuilt motor. Glad I did. They are working greasy with 1300 miles on the rebuilt...
