Hey Gary, Nice collection of engines and parts there, you can never have too many parts when you start trying to put something together! keep up the good work and I always enjoy your projects and threads!
Thanks Gary. Its a perfect parade truck! Put it in low gear, take your foot off the accelerator pedal and let it roll along about 2 -3 mph.
Brakes, we dont need no stinking brakes.. just kidding. the brakes work fair. Do have a couple leaky wheel cylinders that i still need to rebuild...
Still looking for a nice 34 pickup grill, and front fenders. Also a hood top or a complete hood. found one locally that I would love to buy but its become wall art I guess.
thanks for reading.
Thanks guys. Appreciate your responces .
I compared the lid from the 40 pickup to a 40 merc sedan and the mercury lid is flat and the truck has a ridge in the middle.
I wasnt sure if the merc had been modified though.

59A Block, X block with factory relieve has a crack in #7 this is a repairable block if someone wanted to spend the time and $ on it. obviously would need a sleeve. one cylinder already has a sleeve as well. bore was .060 over with wear and rust.
seats will all need work.
