Good point, were fender skirts installed just for the look or do they serve a purpose?

I have had a bad experience with gas tank coating but I don't know if it was installed properly. It was coming off and plugging the fuel line and carb. Maybe if done correctly it would be OK but I'm leery of it.

It will only go back in the correct way because of the offset in the bottom of the shaft. Just reinstall it, no need for TDC. If you feel a need to fine tune it just go through the set timing procedure.

Re: No Spark just cranking We had one that sounds similar, would not start with starter but would start if we pushed it. Weak battery or starter drawing too much to fire points. A new battery cured it.
