Took the valve cover off. When I turn the crankshaft, the cam doesn’t turn, so the distributor doesn’t turn. It seems either the cam timing gear and/or the crankshaft timing gear is busted, right?
Also, copper gaskets or graphite?
My A was running fine, and then just stopped. When I look at the glass fuel sediment bowl, the liquid in there has the color of water. Gasoline has the color of apple juice, doesn't it?
Has my engine stopped because the fuel being delivered is actually water? What would you do?
My A will spend the winter in an unheated garage in Connecticut. How do I prepare her for the winter lay-up? I think my radiator is full of water not antifreeze. How do I drain the radiator and block? What else should I do?

Almost had a dangerous situation today. Took the A for a ride and the fuel was approaching less than ¼. Stopped and filled it with over 7 gallons. Oops, I could see the fuel liquid behind the fuel gauge window, and the fuel was leaking out of the little octagonal fitting surrounding the fuel...
Perhaps you can help me: I think my car is a 1931 roadster 40B. It has cowl lights and a rear mounted spare. But the serial number stamped on the engine is A2650230, which would indicate the engine was manufactured in November 1929. The serial number stamped on the frame is not visible...
Thanks you all are so helpful. I re-discovered the straps- they weren't lost after all. My beautiful green car was the star of the Saint Patty's day parade in Greenwich CT a couple days ago. Brought a smile to many faces young and old.
My Roadster has a wobble around 20 MPH, which goes away at higher and lower speeds. It also goes away when I steer a bit left or right. There's a bit of play in the steering wheel.
Does this sound like a steering adjustment is needed, or is this simply how a 90 year old car behaves...
