Bill Williamson, I like your reply on moving the seat back on your Coupe. I have both 1928 Sport coupe and was told by a Sr. member that he did not like the 28-29 because the 30-31 had more room between the seat and door post. I just bought a 1930 Cabriolet, and although the former owner put...
Thank you, Eagle for the seat relocation advice. I have an older restoration 1928 Sport coupe that I will try this on before touching my show-winning 1930 Cabriolet. But it makes sense
For some one with advanced knowledge. The brush that has the screw.
Is that the Adjustable brush? The Generator does not put out any current?
I am taking my readings from the front post ahead of the Cut out to the body of the Generator. I get no current flow. Should I try to move the brush...
You mention that you have a Powerhouse Generator? I have a 1928 AR with a Powerhouse (pancake) generator. A quick question. With the cutout removed, and the engine running, I get no voltage output from the copper stud that the cutout switch connects to. I am testing from the stud to the...
My tire tubes are 60 years old should they be replaced? They have never gone flat. Tires are a bit dry rotted, have small fine cracks in the side walls but plenty of tread but, are also 60 years old. I just checked the air pressure before topping them off none were lower than 30lbs.
Bill messmer again, I'm the one who needs the Fuel filter. The #2 photo is a badge found on the front bumper in the center, I may be interested in that also. the third fourth and filth are photos of Model A transmissions.
The motor I have is the motor you show in the photo if they are different it looks more like the one in the center row. This motor runs but I have to remove the internal parts and see why it is not moving the shaft. I will repair what ever is broken and put it on the car for now. No drilling...
Year and model as requested. August, 8, 1928 Although I do have one of what you describe as an Owens Dyneto OD-C1B that looks like the one in your picture the mounting ears are broken off and I am missing the switch arms.
The motor I want to use is slightly larger and more rectangular...
I would say it is for a closed car. It is somewhat rectangular with smoothed edges to the front then has the mounting ears wit bolt holes the rod that holds the wiper blade is somewhat centered the control lever is on the right facing from inside the car the power attach point (the coper strip...
I was trying to include a photo of my Electric Windshield motor but cant figure out how to post it to this so I will just ask. #1 Does it take a special Wiper arm different than the one sold with the black spring and rod with the 90 degree bend at the end. I have a long shaft on the left that...
Re: Related sheet metal Question
Because this is about sheet metal. Is there anyone out there who would know how to go about converting a Sport Coup to a Cabriolet.
The car is a 1928 Aug 8 1928 Sport coupe that I have had since 1965, I have a lot of memories with this car, and plan to do a...
