DITTO !!! Club member had gas valve go bad AND at same time the carburetor float hung up and he had an entire tank of gasoline leak onto the kitty litter-filled drip pan! He walked into his garage and was bowled over with the smell of gasoline.

So a friend of mine with a Model T doctor’s coupe was trucking down the road at 25 mph when he was stopped by a cop. Cop asked him if he knew how fast he was going. No sir, I don’t. I have no speedometer! Cop was incredulous until he looked inside. He was doing 25 mph in a 20 mph zone! lol

You have an “original” babbitted Model A that will do 65 mph? Consider it a unicorn!
