327 w/700r4 transmission i tried floor mount would not work so i cut out tunnel and went with trans. Mount i am a lot closer now but still have shift arm/linkage clearance problems.

i have a 1940 ford coupe and i am installing a lokar floor shifter the floor pan is new and the transmission/driveline tunnel is kind of narrow i tried to mount it on top of tunnel will not work i bought the mounting brackets for trans. mount and cut out the tunnel i still have a clearance...
