Just received my rebuilt (remanufactured and perfect) shocks for my 37 pickup from Andy Falandes. Perfect! I couldn't be happier with this Christmas present.
Thanks Andy.

Soon to be 76, but yesterday I got an early BD gift as my 37 pickup I've had since high school was published in the February issue of Hot Rod Magazine! My birthday is also in February. Oh so much work to do to get her on the road again.
I know this was all posted some time ago but I'm needing help. I don't have much left of a set screw only partial half. I need to remove the lock so do I grind this part of the screw flat and then attempt to drill out the screw? This is on a 37 pickup.
Thanks for your help.

thanks, I'll clean off the rust and reevaluate the condition again as well as the wood. It's a little scary to know half the rebuild time is in the bed as the rest is taking a lot also. Just hope I can finish before my clock runs out. lol
I been reading the post on the bed floor and I'm thinking I might just try to salvage the floor I have. It needs a couple of holes repaired and I was going to seal the wood under the floor and clean up the support. But, the thought of spending that much money, then reworking the parts, getting...
Success! Thanks to everyone. I'm sure it was a combination of evaporust , PB Blaster, heat, all together. After the soak in evaporust didn't free by itself I took TJs advice and drilled a couple of holes in the button. Then a little help from my slide hammer and walla it came out and the...
I've tried PB Blaster, even covering the lock so it could soak. Also many other products. It just won't move. I am thinking about removing the column so I can get a better angle to trying whacking on it while on a work bench. The corrosion angle could be it. It isn't in a very good place...
Thanks, I was working on it again last night and took a photo of the back side. I sent this to JSeery to post as I don't seem to get that to work. From the back side you can see the button and it won't move.
