    1930 Deluxe 2dr Phaeton.

Are you truly speaking of the wooden bows or the top irons? I restore top irons but don't consider myself an expert on the bows. Jim (whose last name currently escapes me and is a furniture maker) used to make nice wooden bows if he still is around.... number was (773) 406-1123 I would try...

    roadster doorand deck lid stuffing

Deck has a piece of felt-like material about 1/8"-3/16 thick; rather soft, not hard. Maybe 4x5" rectangle. I suppose it is a stiffner and the pad is anti-rattle. Most wonder why the inner liner of a deck lid rusted out so easily. If you ever take one apart, the inner liner is likley 22 gauge; I...

Making cotter pin hole in shackles

I have used a mill with a 1/8 center cutting mill bit before with no problem. May need to use a carbide burr to get enough thread off to not make the bit wobble and break. Might try a little heat to get red at the entry spot.

1931 Model A Ford P/U Cab Top Steel Roof Rails

Those look correct without having the exact lengths. there may be other models and other dimensions that are similar but I believe those to be the ones. If so, good find as they are hard to come by. Also, they shoould be differing lengths as the cab widens to the rear. Good luck! BU

    30-31 roadster door

Anyone know if a lower inner patch is made for a roadster door? I already know that brookville makes the complete inner liner; I just need up about 2" and the bottom of the inner liner. Thanks in advance BU

    Body/fender steel

So when was a 2X4, 2x4? Long time ago! I have seen factory prints that spec 20 gauge also. However, I think thru the years, specs changed. One posted that it mic'd out a .037; well, current 20 gauge is usually found to be .035. I think a real issue is specs then vs. specs now. I've mic'd...

32 ford 3 window coupe door hinges

Be thankful there is even one supplier. Very low demand item since few exist other than Brookville remakes.

    1930 Cabriolet estimate value

You can't really put a value on it without more info. How much is right and how much is wrong? Looks like the top angles are way off. Are the top assembly and irons even correct? How much will have to come apart. Way too many questions could be worth $6k-18k As just a good ole fun car if it runs...

    can you unchop a top?

Can be done but experience needed. Not for a first timer and not something you would want to pay another to do. Will take forever even with experience. Unless you have lots of "free" time, move on. Likely better to seek another project and pass that one to someone who wants a sqooshed car.

This guy thought I was nuts.

Yep those that "Don't know that they don't know" are a pain in the butt to convince I've pretty much quit discussing things past the first back and forth! And I never tell anyone they are wrong because I don't really care if they are right or wrong! Some attitude huh?

Stolen window regulators at MARC Membership

Back when I used to set up and vend at Hershey, I had something come up missing almost every year. It alsways seemed to happen when unpacking or packing. Just when you are paying the least attention. I still build those regulators and will keep an eye out based on the description. Hard to find...
