    New Stipe Camshafts

Brent you don't have a clue what all transpired with Tony trying to produce the Specialty products and trying to keep Stipe Machine going or how it has now taken a toll on Cindy and me for our retirement! I have lost everything in this deal and I mean everything 45 years of my life's work is...

    New Stipe Camshafts

Thanks Pete, I appreciate you input on this matter, If I were going to make a cam to compete with the market I certainly would not copy someone else's work that is still in business I would design my own that is potentially better. It's a different scenario with a company like Winfield who is no...

    New Stipe Camshafts

I want to clear things up on New Camshafts. I have explained several times My son and I are still going to make cams, he fell on some very hard times and was not able to make them for some time now. It seems that a rumor or lie has been spreading around that Stipe is no longer going to be...

I have started work on stamping out the rear inner fender well for 30-31 Tudor because I need 3 sets and the repro ones are not very good quality. I think my problem will be cost of making the dies again as it was for the 30-31 cowl patches I made. I now have a 100 ton platen press here in...

In regards to spuddering at High RPM's

As Bill Williamson mentioned in DJS post the Model A is not a great design for high RPM but they can do pretty good if everything is right with them. I have to share a funny story if anyone is interested. My Dad always told me not to tear up that Model A and be putting a V-8 in it. I beg my...

    Sputter at high RPMs

yes judging by what you said a few posts up on the valves and adjustment I would say you have a valve problem. If you don't want to make that right than you may as well just run it and deal with the problem. just my 2 cent worth. Have fun with it this summer and rebuild in winter.

    Sputter at high RPMs

I read your post a little closer I see you had the engine apart do you have split valve guides or the one piece guides, just thinking if there the split ones you could have a valve sticking the split ones can be a problem with a little miss alignment and if you had them out and reinstalled a...

    Sputter at high RPMs

Do you know about what RPM your in? I do Mfg a better distributor cam for the Model A-B It will give you more dwell time about 9 more degrees, that is if it is an ignition problem.
