rear of the starter to the oil pan. This will help some as far at the starter locking up, but
doesn't solve the problem totally....The locked starter is a common Flathead problem.

Looking for NOS 91A-11140, the little bracket that attaches
to the back of the starter and then to the oil pan. Fell free
to call me at 512-263-2943. It's for my 1940 221 cu in. Thanks
for your help.
Twice since a starter rebuilt, the engine "locked-up" when engaging
the starter. In some way, the starter gets in a bind with the flywheel
ring gear. I "unlock it" by rocking the car back and forth while in
hi-gear. Can anyone tell me what's the problem?
Would you be interested in NOS 3-3/8 Ford 3-ring pistons that have been

Does anyone have a roll of 1/2-inch 'Asphalt Coated Loom (conduit) used to cover headlite wiring on my 40 Ford.....Don't want the $20 "kit" that Drake sells (2 required), only the coated conduit. Can buy a 100' roll for $46, but only need 3 or so feet. Thanks for any help.
