Original shocks. One has engine oil in it. The other three have straight glycerine. Shocks work; not frozen. Is it possible to drain and clean of existing fluid without pulling them apart?

Any recommendations for what fluid to use in my shock absorbers? And maybe also, what NOT to use?

Does anyone know why Ford dropped the double venturi and went for the single? I have been told that it was due to threatened court action from another carb manufacturer(Stromberg maybe?) for stealing their design. Also, is there any information on the performance differences between the two...

I removed the float a motor mounts from my 29 Murray Fordor and replaced with original. I was expecting more vibration with the change, but I have not noticed any difference at all! As they say - "original is best".

I'm no mechanic, but I can do most things on my Model A. How and why?? I can read, and I have some tools (and any I don't have and need, i go and buy). Les Andrews red book is my bible, but even so, I am not afraid to ask others if I get stuck. And it's all so enjoyable.

Non Ford approved greyhound radiator caps were available well before 1934. There are at least four I know of from Model A days. There is even what appears to be a Ford factory photo of starlet Dolores Del Rio with the 1929 Model A Sport Coupe, and it is wearing a greyhound cap!

Maybe someone should alert TradeMe about this.
