I agree with ModelA29. Do not shop price. Many people have and ended up regretting it.

    OT, No Spark Control

Old iron, nothing like it. My uncle had a 1920 Waterloo Boy. Not steam powered but really cool none the less. 25 HP at the belt drum ad 12 HP at the draw-bar. I really loved that old tractor.

    Carb Intake throat enhancement

The biggest problem with improving airflow is the flat head block itself. It's the reason why overhead valve cylinder heads, larger valves and downdraft carburetors were born.

    exhaust backfire

I used to do this with a healthy 351 Cleveland. The very last time I tried it the blast opened up the bottoms of both mufflers like cans of tuna. Very expensive lesson learned.....

    exhaust backfire

I don't disagree with what everyone has said. However, I had a similar situation where the engine started, idled and drove fine. Engine was timed correctly, points set correctly, idle air screw set normally, idle set to 450 rpm. The engine would backfire through the exhaust if I quickly closed...

    Wheel Balancing Using A Liquid

They still do in the rear tires. But get a puncture, which you might not notice right away, and it creates a real mess all over the tractor. Also, many tire shops will not work on tires filled with a liquid as it messes up their shop and equipment too.

There's another one on Hagerty right now. Hard to say what it's like as the pictures are not very good and no videos. He's asking $24K.

Massey-Fergusen Engine - Followup to frozen engine

I have a Model A head marked MF (no dash) and it's exactly the same as any other stock Model A head. I always thought the MF stood for Michigan Foundry. But I've been wrong before....just ask my wife.

    Used Crankshaft Value

Yes, it was the Blair auction. I felt like they could have done a much better job with their listings. For example, if you searched the entire auction (2231 items) for the words "Model A" it returned no items. Buyers had to search on a more generic term such as "carburetor" or "engine" or page...

    Used Crankshaft Value

For what it's worth, last week I bought some Model A parts from a consignment auction. There were 4 pallets that each contained a disassembled engine. The cheapest sold for $11.00 and the highest sold for $31.00, attached is a picture of the highest selling one.
