Pre ignition knock I have a completely rebuilt engine, everything new. It sounds great but when I put a load on it, it starts pinging, like a desel engine. I have changed the distributor, the timing, put high octane fuel. I still have the knock. Does anyone have a suggestion. Please help. Thank you

I have a completely rebuilt engine, everything new. It sounds great but when I put a load on it, it starts pinging, like a desel engine. I have changed the distributor, the timing, put high octane fuel in it. I changed the head. Still has pinging sound. Any help appreciated. Thank You

1931. Four door sedan, slant window. The motor has 300 miles since rebuilt. Mechanically and body good shape. Has all new windows, good tires. Have new top, that needs to be installed. Needs a new interior.
