I had a part fabricated from the drawings, and everything fits well, but I have one snag. The cap won't fully lock on the rim. The key gets really snug when it's about half closed and I don't want to force it. Any suggestions on getting it to close smoothly?

Does the loop attach to the car between the wheel bracket and the rim on one of the studs?

I need some help on how to correctly install the u-shaped rumble seat gasket. I've seen conflicting pictures in different places. The picture that makes the most sense to me is that the flat part of the u-shaped gasket is glued to the rumble seat lid, and when it is closed the u-shape fits...
