If I remember correctly, les Andrews book states after all rotating assembly is installed, it should only take 30lbs on a torque wrench to rotate the entire assembly! I would definitely start removing the pan and front/valve covers to inspect for the culprit. A full rebuild cost is not something...

It’s pretty easy if there’s no gas in the tank. Messy if there is. Sounds like there is if it’s leaking so what I would do is get clear tubing big enough to go over the fuel pipe. Unscrew it fast and slip the tubing over the pipe and have it drain into a gas can. Then you could take your time...

I used Marcos site as a guide on my '31 Tudor. Installed by myself in a few hours. Took my time and just worked it a little at a time.

My A actually came out on one of their episodes. While they were making a deal with a gentleman, my Tudor could be seen in the background. Supposedly Aaron wanted my Tudor pretty bad but Richard not so much.

Why?, because I'll have it up and running right away compared to storing it and prably losing interest. Right now, I'm at a point of I can take on small quick jobs. I'm not sure I could accommodate a long multi year restoration.
