    Did I Goof.....?

Without that raised tube or screen on top of the valve, its going to pull any crud on the bottom of the tank right into where the gas flows. Shine a light down in there and see if you have gunk stuck down in the hole. What I did was drain the tank completely, take off the floorboards, and got a...

    Did I Goof.....?

That missing screen is causing your issue, I had the same problem.

Head Gasket Seeping Above Serial Number

Mine started seeping there when I started to actually drive mine. It sat for quite a while before I got my hands on it. The seepage started to spread outwards from that point until I noticed after a long drive that it would spit little water droplets out of the exhaust at idle. I changed the...

Watching YouTube videos pertaining to Model-A repair or restoration...

The guy apparently runs a body shop and builds hot rods (according to his profile). This is exactly the reason I do all my own work on all my cars. The techs at the dealer are just part snappers and most of the independent shops around me are ran by guys like this. If you find someone who knows...

    Too much gear lube

Oil can flow down the torque tube from the trans to the rear end. Definitely keep an eye on it cause like others are saying, it can leak out and coat your rear brakes

    White walls

I think they look good either way. I had whitewalls on mine when I bought it, but they were OLD tires. Nearly 100% tread but completely dry-rotted. I wanted another set of whitewalls but after seeing the price settled on a set of blackwalls.

    I give up

Run the engine as low as you can where it runs smooth, take a can of starter fluid and give a quick spray where the intake meets the engine. If the RPMs change you've found your culprit.

Different length rear axle shaft threads on either side?

Thankfully, they were in place on both sides. They seemed to be in fine shape, but I've got new ones on the way anyways along with all the proper hardware and Les Andrew's Red Book.

Different length rear axle shaft threads on either side?

In the first picture or the second picture? I measured the drum thickness on the front/rear passenger side when I went through them when I got the car last year due to having 0 braking power. All the components were basically brand new and the drums on that side were in perfect shape and had...

Different length rear axle shaft threads on either side?

After doing some research, nothing about the way these were installed was right. Should be Hub then Fiber Washer then Steel Washer then Castle Nut. I had previously pulled off both the front and rear passenger's side drums and found new brake shoes/hardware on both and inspected the drums...

Different length rear axle shaft threads on either side?

The drum does not rub on the backing plate (surprisingly). After I took those pictures I went out and got a couple 5/8 washers and put them on the shaft. The cotter pin now goes through the castle nut correctly with those under it. Is this assemble supposed to have washers under it? Neither...

Different length rear axle shaft threads on either side?

I was driving the car today when some nice gentleman in a Jeep informed me my rear driver's side wheel was wobbling. I got home and sure enough, with the rear jacked up it had about 1/4" of in and out play. I took the wheel off and the axle nut was extremely loose. With the nut tight enough to...

    Gas Station

I rest the gas nozzle in the neck as high as it can sit and set the gas nozzle at the lowest notch. Flame arrestor screen taken out too. Pump always clicks off right about at the full mark on the gas gauge.
