I have an annoying vibration at around 2000 RPM (40mph) . I wonder if you ever noticed that and if it might be due the narrow belt bouncing around in the wide pump pulleys?
I added a 1 ohm ignition coil resistor in series with the original 6v solenoid to ease the stress on the starter button. You could convert to a 12v solenoid but the contacts may not the extra (2x) starting current long term
Does anyone know if the wide belt pulleys on the F1 water pumps can be replaced with the narrow belt offset pulleys from a 1953 ford passenger car (original 53 car water pump pulleys). I would like to convert to the 1953 ford car belt system with the back pulley driving the generator and L pump...
I just noticed this post. If you still need the info I can measure my old one. I bought a new won from LMC truck but the size was a little too big to fit the opening. ( too high) . I had one made locally. Let me know if you want the measurements.
I have had to rebuild my differential so its out of the car. I would like to change the rear transmission mount as well as the rubber is not very good. Can it be changed without pulling the engine and transmission? Or at minimum can the engine and TX be moved forward enough by disconnecting the...
MGC .. Hope this will help ... its part of a presentation I did for my grandaughters science class last Feb. It shows the charge and discharge paths for an ignition coil and how the currents flow.
I made a handfull,of "washers" out of 5/16 or 3/8 steel tubing ( I forget), about .1 thick to put along the ends and bottom to prevent the rubber from "squishing" out when the bolts were tightened.
The power and current values associated with the sender units are too high to to use a small variable resistor to calibrate the unit. Power dissipation can be as high as 1.2 W and .3A respectively at "full tank". Similarly a carbon resistor will likely be too big as well.
I bought a new rear window for my 48 F1 and its too big to fit the opening. Its about 1/16 to 1/8 too wide along the bottom compared to the old one. The old one with the new gasket fits the opening. tight but it goes, but there is no way the new one will fit.
Does anyone out there know if it...
Still didn't work !!!! The last three words in each line correspond to the L,R and 3rd light states correspondingly . So for condition 5 for instance L should be off, R should be flashing and 3rd should be off
40 CPE .....Below is a table showing all the possible L & R signal light conditions, and the desired output for the 3rd light. Is this what you expect to happen?
CONDITION L R 3RD...
