Need to rent garage space in or near San Jose, CA

I need to rent garage space for my 70 Maverick Drag car. I would prefer a stall or space that I could do minor work on the car and store my tools. I would really like a space 10' by 20' so I could store the car on my trailer. I would also be willing to pay $100 finders fee. Thanks for your help

    523 HP Y-Block!

Yes, it was a Rollermaster. They make some fantastic parts in Australia. It was a CS-4060 and even looked better in person than the photograph and the quality was far superior to anything made in the USofA! http://www.romac.com.au/

    523 HP Y-Block!

The last Y I helped build certainly fell short of making that kind of HP, but did manage 383HP @ 6000rpm. I am no guru but cam/head/valve train design are certainly the key to making a Y block run. Here are some of the parts that went on the Y block I worked on. Let's see, $2150 for the heads...

    setting up three 94's for a Y block ?

Ralph, I think the "myth" about leaving the choke plates in was only aimed at the 97 style Strombers. The Strombergs do run better with their choke plates in and remember the Stromberg and 94 are totally different carbs. I have set up quite a few 94 tri-power setups and they performed...

    Can anyone ID this Trans????

If you go to this site it will tell you all the cars it was in and may give you more information. YES, THIS IS A 4sp!.................see the three arms........two in the side cover and reverse in the rear case...................Hope you have some deep pockets if you buy it and it needs...

    Can anyone ID this Trans????

I don't know about a Y block, but I'm pretty sure it would need sometype of adapter.................not sure. What did they come in, well from 66 on they came in Dodges, AMC's, Pontiacs, Camaros, Mercury, Mustang, Galaxie................on and on. Looking at the picture the tail shaft sure looks...

    Can anyone ID this Trans????

Looks like a Borg Warner T10, and although I can't see the front mounting flanges, looks like it could be out of a Ford, maybe 390. The tail shaft is quite long.......................what does the front shaft look like, how many splines, what numbers are on the case....................need more...

    setting up three 94's for a Y block ?

Ralph, You heard it from (stromberg81), what happened to strombergs97 Duane. Duane is a good buddy and here in California we call him Mr. Stromberg as he has rebuilt hundereds for customers all over the world. But, on the 94's............at least the secondaries, take the choke plates and...

    setting up three 94's for a Y block ?

Ralph, I have always used epoxy to plug the idle circuits and then sanded them down on the outside and inside............here is a picture of a mockup I did awhile back for a 312 Y block. As for plugging the power valves, you can buy plugs through Holley that work fine. If you don't want to...

    setting up three 94's for a Y block ?

You have really picked just about the best 94 you could for a tripower setup as long as they are all 91-99's. Don't let anyone fool you, you have a lot of hours to look forward to making these 94's better than new and will spend upwards of $200 just to buy the parts to make them that...

    68 Shelby hood

What kind of paint does it have? Are there any cracks? Does it still have the pop-up hood retainers, one in each corner of the front? If this is an original and not a repop.................and everything about the hood is good........................I would say at least a $1000 bucks. Tony...

junkyard find/ 56 Ford Ranch Wagon

Frank Cowan, Yup, I got one goat and one chicken....................I just couldn't pass up the deal. Ray, Just so you won't feel bad, when I got the car to the garage I found out the most of the lower part of the roof (at the drip rail) was like tissue paper...................so I bought...

    Hotrod flattie

Flathead4dr, A 404 is not so rare, Pete Samuelson in Seattle/Tocoma grinds them and can supply the lifters with jig and tools needed. I think he uses SBC valve springs but with the high spring pressure I'm not sure how long it would last on the street..............maybe 10k...

junkyard find/ 56 Ford Ranch Wagon

Sorry, forgot the picture. It was complete with 292/4brl, dual exhaust and trailer hitch. Unless the car had no rust.......................it's not worth $3k!
