Will there be any model A’s left?

Re: Will there be any model A’s left? If future generations don't have the interest to preserve the legacy, Model A's are destined to fade away in time, only to be seen on display, in parades and historic related media. There will be less usable available parts, much fewer reproduction vendors...

Title goes with Frame or Engine?

Just my opinion, but I believe it is a question only answerable by the jurisdiction that makes the laws and will surely differ state to state. Ford may have had their system of assigning identification numbers but certainly were not the legal authority after the sale. Federal regulations were...

Title goes with Frame or Engine?

I bought a 1930 Model A coupe from Michigan and imported it to Canada. The car had a V8 Flathead installed in the late 50s and was stored away since 1962. The owner still had the original engine which I declined to buy when it was offered. I acted as my own broker and presented all the required...

    Bolt Torque ft.lbs. information

I received this complimentary pen with my recent order from Mike's "A" Ford-able Parts along with a thank you note. I thought it was cool. You pull the metal tab and the page scrolls out of the pen.

    Aristocrat Dash Panel?

A little off tangent but this is the panel that was reworked for a '30 coupe with a 8ba, having dual temp gauges and reading in KPH for use in Canada.

    Aristocrat Dash Panel?

I don't have enough post to put up pics but the Aristocrat panel I have has a Speedo, top center in an enlarged hole, a SW volt meter, SW fuel gauge, two SW water temp gauges to accommodate the V8 flathead and a SW oil pressure gauge. Everyone thinks it looks rather unique, compact and well...

    Aristocrat Dash Panel?

Yes, that is an Aristocrat. The very early ones were said to be made from steel but I've never seen one. I have one like yours that was in a '30 coupe hot rod project I bought. They were discontinued only a few years ago.

    Frame Number Stamping

Thanks rotorwrench. I know the history of the car from 1959 but nothing earlier than that. I bought it from the Flint Michigan area. Here are a few pics of the numbers. The sub-frame cross member stamped number also has an 'X' with a different number. This was just a question in the back of my...

    Frame Number Stamping

After lifting the body from the frame on a 1930 Model A coupe, I compared the number stamped on the frame with the engine number stamping. It would have been a match except the frame number started with AX then the number and the engine stamping starts with A then the number. Can anyone explain...
