Yeas , the best way would to get in touch with the Mitchell crew. But as you are saying ; if the coupler is not worn badly , and it won’t slide back and forth on the the drive shaft and pinion shaft it might be good enough the have it working properly.

Yes. And as you are saying, the only way to use two out of four pins , is to mount the coupler to the pinion gear , then just stick the Mitchell drive shaft on the coupler. But , is that good enough for keeping up with the torque?

I don’t mean cotter pins , it was the metal pins I meant, the one that should be peend at each end. Should I use those ? then I have to remove the short tourqe tube.

I’ve seen some videos on how they’re mounting the Mitchell on the Model A, but I guess it’s not the same on a later Forf

I’ve bought it as a complete unit, assembled. One thing I wonder is if I should disassemble the short tourqe tube to be able to use cotter pins through the coupler ?

Hi, I have a 39 Tudor Standard, 60 HP. I’ve got two transmissions on the floor; one light truck 42-52 and one that fits 32-34(18-7006). Instead of the 60HP I’m planning to throw in a 59-A instead. The question is : can I use the transmissions in some form, maybe build one out of two ? i know...
