Raised on large Aussie-built 8's n 6's. Bought my dad's '67 Ford Falcon 200CI 6 as my first car in 1984. Spent a lot of years since then driving generic Jap 4-bangers but finally persuaded my wife (and 3 kids) we needed something bigger. The end result a '99 Ford Fairmont sedan with the 4000cc IL6. Good car and a step in the right direction but still no cigar, until last year when I got hold of a '47 Merc all original and near to running. A year later and she's not only running but damn near road legal!
