Sometimes the adapter plate is dished in too much where the threaded
adapter goes through. When you have it off you may need to
reshape the adapter plate so it holds tight enough against the block.
Just an idea.
Like mentioned before both have their advantages and disadvantages.
I have used both symetrical and a symetrical, and drive on lifts. I like the a symetrical seems a little more versitle.
My experience has only been with Mohawk
had them for over 25 years. You get what you pay for. Just my 2...
Kultulz, the guage is just to check that the pressure is correct with the engine
running, not too low or too high so you know its the correct spec for the carb, and the pump spec is correct. When you shut the engine off the pressure
usually drops.
Before you go through fixing it yourself. I saw a service bulletin that
may cover it under warranty. It looks like a updated part. TSB 15-0061. If not I may be able to get you a part number with some details of the truck, production date, back up camera etc. Hope this helps.
Kultulz When I sent him the pictures of the headers, Victor told me
that's what they were for. I think it has to do with the length of the pipe coming out of the common rail, that makes it 54 only. He said that Ford made them remove the Ford script in 1998.
If you decide to go with common rail headers. I have a set of Red,s headers.
Was told by Victor at Red,s headers that they fit 54 car only.
They were made pre 1998 because it has the for script on them.
Let me know if interested. Thanks Joe
