Once back to that point I am going to re-evaluate, but if I remember right I placed over as far as I could because of the turbo and exhaust on the passenger side. But a few inches may make all the difference.
Thanks everyone for the advice.
Interesting. Thanks for getting that info. With the rack on the I-beam there cannot be much bump steer, BUT I have read that there is quite a bit of feedback through the steering wheel into a drivers hands because of the slip joint. Makes it feel like it is jumping around. Great info here. I am...
That would be great if you can find some. I have heard about what you you mentioned but also have read that if the slip joint is installed correctly they will not have any issues. An example that always comes up is a semi cab is floating and always has a slip joint.
Thanks for checking. I...
Not looking for criticism but solution here. Just something to try because I also wanted to put a diesel in this old truck. So I am putting a ISB 170 in it. I do not have room for the current steering box location. So looking for anyone that has relocated a box. I have seen the Toyota boxes used...
I have had the 8BA in my 52 F3 for a while now. I just need more of an every day driver. So I am throwing a diesel in it. Just another project I know. But I don't really want to pull the 8BA and let sit. I just not sure how much it is worth now a days. It runs fine, has new water pumps, high...

Had it on the truck for about a year. Always ran fine. Had not started it for a couple of months. Thought I would fire it up and let it run for a little while. Started right up and ran for about 2 minutes and just died. Smoke everywhere from the pertronix. OK I thought these were suppose to be...
I have tried repeatedly with no success. I have had 2 other people try with no success. They just will not go together. I guess I will have to chalk it up to quality control.
Capt Kirk. I did look at putting the other direction it does not look like it will fit at all.
51 Merc. That looks just like what I was trying to do... with a lot of force. So I thought. I will try a little harder today and see what happens. By the way pretty cool how you altered the pic...

For the the life of me I cannot seem to figure out how they connect together. It looks obvious but the arm will not...
