If I remember correctly, I used the bottom section of a 14 ounce propane bottle, empty and gas cleared of course. Not 100% correct, but serves the purpose! John

Do a Google search for "Big Flats Rivet" in Big Flats, New York. They specialize in rivets for old cars. I used them on my '40 frame , looks original. They also have tools and instructions for use. Good people to deal with. http://bigflatsrivet.com/ John

I looked at my frame parts, the last 20" on driver side main frame is good, the "x"member part is rough, the same parts on pass. side are rough., do not have rearmost crossmember. If you are interested and it is warm enough for my wife & her cell phone tomorrow, I'll have her send you some...

I don't know about other years, but on my forty, the 1/4" square shaft on the handle was worn off on the corners where it entered the square hole in the inner mechanism. I built up the worn spots with a dab of weld metal, ground/filed it back to square, and it worked fine. also found one...

Treated deck wood is usually 1" thick, but it will shrink and twist somewhat when it drys.

I replaced my old shop lights with the clear leds last fall, had mixed results. Had to buy darker sunglasses , found tools and parts I thought I lost 25 years ago . Love them. JT
