    Gordon Smith compressor

I have a Gordon Smith Model A Ford compressor for sale. Engine has 190 hours on a complete rebuild. Runs really well, will fill the air tank from 0 psi to 120 psi and cycle down in 35 seconds. Tank is dated 1944 and is clean and free of rust inside. I have a spare cylinder head and three...

    1946 G six

I have a 1946 G six that I removed from a 1/2 ton pickup. The engine is seized. Will sell all or will part out. Parts can be shipped, but the engine must be picked up at my shop in north central Arkansas. The exhaust manifold and exhaust heat shield has already been sold. Will take $75 for...

Columbia axle in 1934 1 1/2 ton truck

GB, According to the article that Fred linked, this axle was made available in '35, so they all would have been full floating. This would have been a kit from Columbia like the ones for the car axles. The kit would have only had the left hand axle housing, internal parts and controls necessary...

Columbia axle in 1934 1 1/2 ton truck

Here are a couple of photos of a truck Columbia axle that I saw at Petit Jean Arkansas show in June 1989. I have never seen another one like it. I didn't even know at the time that they exist. I should have taken more and better photos.

    In defense of 6 cylinders

My Mom and Dad had a '52 station wagon with a 215 six and 3 speed overdrive when I was a kid. I wish I had the car today. Dad scrapped it when they bought a new Ranch Wagon in '66 with a 390. Mark

    Info on this truck transmission

I believe that would be from a '39-'47 3/4-1 ton truck. The integral half bell would place it before '48. The rear foot would be correct for a 1 1/2-2 ton truck, but they would have a parking brake drum and a 4 bolt o companion flange instead of a yoke on the rear. Mark

Thank you for your reply and complements. After doing a little research I was thinking more like $1500.00-$1750.00. Maybe I am thinking too low? Thanks again, Mark

Re: Gordon & Smith compressor questions TerryO, Thank you for your reply. AS best as I can tell from the facebook link that redmodelt posted, my compressor was a Smith factory built compressor with the '28-'29 Model A cowl. When I bought it about 35 years ago, it was missing the radiator...

Re: Gordon & Smith compressor questions redmodelt, Thank you for the link to the Smith Motor Compressor facebook page, very interesting. It will be very helpful in determining the value of my compressor. After reading their facebook page I am tempted to keep it, but I really don't have any use...
