    Carburetor

That is probably from a 292 powered truck with 1.02 venturi carb. Look inside the cast-in circle, behind the accelerator pump rod, on the side of the float bowl. The number is the venturi size. Yes it would work. It will result in a little less max. rpm, in the neighborhood of 3800-4000...

    Carburetor

I take a big exception here. The spring spoken of IS a Float Dampner Spring, and it is installed with it's short end under the hardware end of the float. A Float Rod Clip holds the float keeping it and the needle lifting from fuel pressure and chamber filling, and it clips to the groove in the...

    Carburetor

The carb tag number shown is for a 390 cu in engine. The carburetor would have a large 1.23 venturi. It is NOT a good choice for a 289/302 in anything, car or truck. Large main jets, in the order of 55 or 56 are also likely in place, again not consistent with a 289/302. Your best option is...

1949-1959 Ford Master Parts Book on CD

I bought this CD on ebay. It covers all of the 49-59 model Ford cars, and has a huge amount of information. However I found it difficult to use and navigate. Maybe you will have better results. The original jacket isnt available. Price includes mailing. Payment by PP would be nice.

1955 Fordomatic Air Cooled Torque Converter

The TC looks to be in good condition. If interested I can send pics. Price does not include shipping from 97544, but figure somewhere around $35. Engine was 272 in a Country Sedan wagon. The working odometer showed under 100k on an engine never rebuilt (to give a rough idea of use and wear)...

312 Crank Grinding down to 292 size

A few crank grinders have a stone narrow enough to grind down the rear seal journal thereby saving the oil slinger. I was lucky to find such a shop. Most people have to go with the loss of the slinger.

Model A stolen by a deranged idiot

Sorry to say, but we have way too many weirdos like that here in S. Oregon. They need their "medicine" at least 4 times a day. What a terrible outcome for a nice car.

Teens 20's Accessory Victory Parking Lamp

Yes I did Big John, two. It is really neat to hold something like them in hand and think they have floated around for 98 years. No doubt that is the feeling you all get about your antique four wheelers.

Teens 20's Accessory Victory Parking Lamp

I thought some here might like to see this new parking lamp that arrived today. It is a Victory Parking Lamp, with clear lens in front and red lens in rear, nickel plated. An advertisement in Motor Age magazine, 11/4/20, says "Attached to the left rear fender (top) for night parking-it throws a...
