I got it on and used your suggestion with gasket sealer. It was a bugger to hold and compress the oil pump spring to start the bolts. Thanks for your help!!!

Fellow Model A Owners, I am installing my oil pan and run into a problem.What holds the rear of the pan to seal against the back cork gasket. Am I missing some kind of reenforcement on the pan like on the front?. I dont remember having anything when I pulled the pan and I have looked...

thanks for your sugestion I found the second screw and removed the screen. I am sure glad I did it was all gummed up. thanks again

How do get to the screen on the oil pump for cleaning. I removed the one screw on the top cover but the cover wont budge. Am I missing something?
