I hope this works. I've had trouble getting one photo small enough to post.
If JM 35 has never seen an aftermarket distributor of this vintage, then it has to be Ford which is a good thing. Thanks.
I have a 32-36 distributor that I believe is aftermarket, not ford. I bought it just to practice tearing one down. It has 29017, EE and 14 (underlined) on the outside bottom plate. The edge of the mounting plate has 1-H on it. the bottom side of the helmet has 2 in a circle. On the opposite side...
There is some possibility front and rear drums are 37 as the motor and trans are 37 (v8 60hp). In 1978 two cars could have been combined to make this one. How do I tell 37 axles from 35 or 36?
I'd like to run 35 wire wheels. As to the front drums, do you think I could get a machine shop to drill my wide five drums in a 5 x 5.5 pattern and install studs and spacers to support the 35 wire sheels?

Thanks John and Pete for the photos which show me correct installation of the original type parts which I now have for my 37 v8 60hp (Pete, your picture is an exact match to my stuff). The car is 6 volt and I plan to keep it that way. I bought this car at auction without realizing how much...
All I want for xmas is a clear photo of a 37 ford engine showing the correct installation and wiring of an original style condenser and a tall type coil. Car is negative ground. Oh yeah, and for the coil and condenser to solve my problem when properly installed. Thanks and have a safe and merry...
