I bought a frame piece that supports the '35 battery from them 10 years ago. I think they're still in business.
Just thought I'd try to see if someone knew where I could locate a set of rear bumper irons:
68 17795, Arm (inner) - RH
68 17796, Arm (inner) - LH
68 17786-D, Arm (outer) - RH
68 17787-D, Arm (outer) LH
If not original, is anyone re-popping these arms?
My gauge developed a leak and has corroded the entire assembly. Took me 2 hours to get it out! Looks like the metal tube from the brass vial parted where it joins the glass tube.
Is there someone who restores these gauges? It's the deluxe version that shares the instrument cluster with the...
I just installed Bob Drake '34 headlights on a Limeworks headlight bar on my '32 roadster. I drilled a second hole to run stainless cables to the grille shell.
The hollow mounting bolt seems to be fastened in the bucket with a plate and four small nuts/bolts. The top of the hollow mounting...
I think I'm going to cut my filler neck in half and insert a rubber hose section that would move the cap end further out and more vertical as in the V-8 Affair photo.
I'm tired of ruining the paint on my LR fender with gas spillage. I've never actually seen one of these optional filler necks for wagons.
Does anyone know where I might find one of these gas filler necks?
I've got a few C&G parts in my woodie out here in Massachusetts! It's 55 degrees today so we made a 30 mile ride along the Buzzards Bay shore. Didn't see another car!!!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all!
Before I flop down on the sofa to watch football, I'm going to put 15 miles or so on the woodie today. A glorious 45 degrees here in New England. Haven't put the windows in yet!! Have a happy Thanksgiving with your families!!
This area of southern Massachusetts is still very rural and on the coast of Buzzards Bay. I can drive my '35 woodie for 20 miles and never see another car! There were a large number of dairy farms here, now only one or two now and very small. The sailboats are on the property of Concordia...
I'll ask some of the old timers around here as to who who owns the car. She also pulled a 1937 Buick roadster out of the barn along with the Merc. I didn't post them originally because it ain't a Ford. But it is a gorgeous dual spare, rumble seat, straight 8 Buick!! Please forgive me!
No I didn't see the mileage. The lady owner wasn't forthcoming ontalking about the car, only saying it wasn't for sale. I'm sure it's not going to be turned into a hot rod.
I almost drove off the road seeing this 1941 Mercury station wagon. Moving from an unheated cow barn to an environmentally controlled storage faciiity. The MA inspection sticker is from 1972! The lady told me it is not for sale. The first Merc woodie I have ever seen, gorgeous, unmolested...
Mac's sells the red fluid, V9280A at $2.90 a bottle - www.macsautoparts.com. I just bought two small bottles to replenish my gauge and will keep one for a spare for future use.
