The 28 to November 28 is totally different as the engine fastens right to the front crossmember. No yoke, it has ears on it, that get cut off on so many of them.

I have mechanical brakes on my speedster and mechanical brakes will lock up in a heartbeat. As already mentioned speedsters are pretty light. One the wheels are skidding whether it be mechanical or hydraulic, you are along for the ride.

It goes behind the door panel. If fits in the clamp top half and then behind the door panel the second half.

The steering column and gear box are different 28-29 to 30-31. The light switch and rod are different lengths, and therefore not just interchangeable. Look in one of the vendor catalogues and you will see that there are different ones. The wheel and switch in that car is a 30-31.

I'm not sure you did, I just meant an event greater than two guys tinkering on an A under a shade tree and calling it a MAFCA event. Now the tour in Indiana to me does count, and MAFCA then does an event east of the Mississippi, about every two years, which appears to be 2 more that MARC does...

I think I was meaning national events, not local club swap meets. Most of the swap meets mentioned in the calendar were both MARC and MAFCA club affiliated. The Augusta event is also a MARC club as well, so not really an "exclusive" MAFCA event. Otherwise, I did not really see a true MAFCA...

What is the last MAFCA national event that was held east of the Mississippi River? I just remember Kansas City in 2000, and that wasn't quite to the Mississippi. I can also say that the other way about MARC. Both clubs will have events in Dallas from time to time.

Possibly a frozen shock, not allowing the suspension to flex? If jacked up, you could spin the wheels and see if you see an up and down motion. If you do, then try to isolate to the wheel (given you already changed them, not likely), the hub or axle.

The screws are too long. Originally, they had square nuts on them, on the top like you have it, but the original length of the screw was perfect, so the square nut was recessed in the wood, and then the screw just came up through the nut basically flush. as mentioned, you will need to get the...

I guess I must just be lucky then, I have an alternator on a 6 volt system, and the car sits for 6-8 months, and it starts right up every time. In my case, the alternator obviously does not drain the battery.

Vern, I did find in the exterior plating section, "the 1928-1929 rear lamp was a nickel plated drum shaped shell with DUOLIGHT stamped on the top. By that, the original one was stamped. Repro is probably raised.
