    Taillight problem

You might try this, Check all the black rubber connectors between the main wiring loom and the wires that feed out to the lamp sockets. The new ones may need to have the metal connector inside the black cover opened up a bit to accept the tip on the wire, then get crimped tight... might...

Who sells or builds the BEST Rear Trunks today??

A Barner currently has a Kari-Keen trunk for sale here on The Swap Meet page... Period look (and materials - steel), seems like it opens up like some kind of early 'Transformer'. Kool. (BTW, Im not working with the seller, it's just a coincidence, I saw the ad yesterday, and this post today.)

Skills Necessary To Own & Operate A Model "A"

Hand cranking was and is an option, and it's just as risky as it always was, but Ford knew that the battery was a critical weak link, and so, I've read, the Zenith was designed specifically to facilitate hand cranking. There is a 'mysterious' little hole in that seemingly-useles extension/arm...

    Signs, back in the day

Does it count if they're still in view? These are still up at the Texas Tavern in Roanoke VA: We don't take checks, and we don't handle bumblebees. And: Yes, ladies do enjoy eating here! Funkiest little place you'll probably ever see, and best chili ever, at least...

    Model a colors

We have to be real grateful Henry didn't ever* offer the Model As in white.... [LOL] Because there are actually over 150,000 different shades of white (150,000, not a misprint). [*Yes, I'm not counting the ambulances]. Anybody know when Ford did start offering white? My dad had a white 1960...

    New Radiator Opinions

Brasswoorks' website indicates they repair radiators.... They're closed now, or I'd call and see what they offer. Anyone have any experience with them for this service? Shipping from/to Florida would be a burden but there's often good value in restoring original Ford parts. Have you tried the...

Cotter Key Plastic Box Information Needed

Are the shapes/finishes of the cotter pins originally used in the Model A the same as the ones commercially available today? Are the profiles of the wires used to form the pins the same, and are the shapes of the loops the same, and are the ends clipped off the same way? I guess what I'm...

    Hog ring pliers

I just found a few hogrings in the seat cushion of my '31 Cabby, but IIRC, I put em in myself when I installed a set of LB covers in '71. So I'm wondering if Briggs used them in Cabriolet seat cushions originally, not that they'd be visible, but still... Thanks John
